Breeding Pens

All my breeding falcons are non-imprint natural pairs.
My pens are purpose built and have several unique features, which may be of interest to other breeders. Half of my pens are essentially patterned after the Peregine Fund plan, the others are of open top design. Plans are available for breeders. Some of these features are:

-Garden soaker hose along ridge of shake roof for summer cooling.
-Alternate nest sites. (2 per pen)
-Predator lip etc.
- One way glass in doors and into nest box.
- Trap doors for dropping in food and change of water.
-Concrete floor has 3 degree slope for hosing out and cleaning.
-Strategic perch placement.
-Coarse Astroturf on perches to prevent bumble foot.
-Metal conduit dowels.

Trapping Gear

I was shown how to trap by George Galicz who has probably trapped more Gyrs than anyone. I have successfully trapped immature passage Gyrs using as it were the Galicz franchise techniques but not decided if I wish to market trapping gear which would include:

Bownets of slightly different design
Throw nets
Noose cages (Bal chatri)
Hide (again after George Galicz)
Flutter poles including a new Jeremy Johnston noose platform that has already proved itself by capturing a Gyr when it worked perfectly.
