As a physician I treat some AIDS patients who often get Aspergillosis as a terminal infection.

I have been using Lamisil to treat Gyr and Gyr hybrids Asper for 5-6 years very succesfully if caught early and am delighted to hear recently that doctors Kenton Riddle and Shaw in Qatar are now using Lamisil as the drug of first choice instead of Sporonox and other antifungals. Lamisil (Terbinafine HCL) is manufactured by Novartis. It appears to completely cure them with no side affects. Lamisil is an antifungal with great spectrum of activity against many Aspergillosis strains.

I give about one quarter human adult dose (1/4 of 250mg tablet once daily). I cannot be absolutely sure that I've been treating Aspergillosis as I've always started treatment as soon as the falcon begins to sound like 'Ethel Merman'.
