Although most of my falcons are natural breeders, I use some A.I. to improve fertility and produce specific hybrids. I am using medical intracaths for A.I. (intracaths are routinely used in medicine for intra-venous infusions). They allow accurate collection of male semen and absolutely non traumatic catheterisation of the lower oviduct of the female falcon. This method has to be vastly superior than just crudely dumping semen into the cloaca and should in turn translate into improved fertility.
